PEKANBARU - The Riau Provincial Plantation Office has announced the updated Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) prices for independent partner palm oil farmers for the period of November 26 to December 2, 2025. The highest increase this week was recorded in the 9-year age group.
Head of the Processing and Marketing Division of the Riau Plantation Office, Dr. Defris Hatmaja, stated that the 9-year age group experienced a price increase of Rp17.69 per kilogram, or 0.52 percent compared to the previous week.
“As a result, the FFB price rose to Rp3,412.13 per kilogram, while shell prices reached Rp27.33 per kilogram,” Dr. Defris said on Tuesday (25/11/2025).
For this period, the K index used for the next month stands at 92.93 percent. The selling price of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) increased by Rp322.30 per kilogram from last week, while the kernel price dropped by Rp948.30 per kilogram.
Dr. Defris also noted that several Palm Oil Mills (POMs) did not make any sales during this period. Under Article 8 of the Indonesian Minister of Agriculture Regulation No. 01/2018, the CPO and kernel prices used in the calculation must reflect the team’s average prices. If the prices fall under Validation 2, the average prices from the National Commodity Exchange Office are applied.
“The average CPO price from the National Commodity Exchange Office during this period is Rp14,020.60 per kilogram, while the kernel price is Rp11,345.00 per kilogram,” he added.
The price increase this week was mainly driven by the rise in CPO prices. According to Dr. Defris, improvements in the price-setting mechanism demonstrate a strong commitment from all stakeholders, supported by the Riau Provincial Government and the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office.
“This joint commitment will ultimately increase farmers’ incomes and improve public welfare,” he emphasized.
