PEKANBARU - The Riau Provincial Plantation Agency (Disbun) has released the price of independent partnership fresh fruit bunches (FFB) of oil palm in Riau Province for the period of September 10 – 16, 2025.

Head of Processing and Marketing at Riau Disbun, Dr. Defris Hatmaja, stated that the highest price increase was recorded in the 9-year-old plant category, rising by Rp16.30/kg or about 0.45% compared to last week.

"As a result, the purchase price of farmers’ FFB rose to Rp3,650.30/kg, with shell prices set at Rp23.13/kg,” explained Dr. Defris Hatmaja on Tuesday (September 9, 2025).

For this period, the K index used is the one-month-ahead K index, which stands at 93.12%. The selling price of CPO this week decreased by Rp16.64/kg compared to last week, while kernel prices rose by Rp395.71/kg.

Several palm oil mills (PKS) did not conduct sales. Referring to Ministry of Agriculture Regulation No. 01 of 2018, Article 8, the CPO and kernel prices used are the team’s average prices. If CPO or kernel prices fall under validation 2, then the KPBN average price is applied.

“The KPBN average price for this period is Rp14,600.00/kg for CPO and Rp13,765.00/kg for kernel,” he added.

This week’s price increase is mainly driven by rising kernel prices. The improvement in the pricing governance system reflects the strong commitment of all stakeholders, supported by the Riau Provincial Government and the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office.

"This joint commitment will ultimately lead to higher farmer incomes, which in turn will improve community welfare,” he concluded.
