PEKANBARU - For the period of October 30–November 5, 2024, the price of fresh fruit bunches for Plasma Partnership palm oil has been decided by the Riau Province Plantation Service.

Head of the Processing and Marketing Division of the Riau Disbun, Defris Hatmaja, said there was an increase in prices reaching 1.77 percent compared to last week.

“The highest price increase was in the 9 year age group, amounting to IDR 59.39/Kg. So the purchase price of fresh fruit bunches for farmers in the future will increase to IDR 3,417.94/Kg with a shell price of IDR 18.64/Kg,” said Defris Hatmaja, Tuesday (29/10/2024).

The K index utilized at this time is the K index for the next month, which is 92.28%. This week's selling prices of kernel and crude palm oil both climbed by IDR 253.20 and IDR 230.72, respectively, over previous week.

“Several palm oil factories are not selling their products. According to Minister of Agriculture Regulation number 01 of 2018 article 8, the team's average price for crude palm oil and kernels is used; if validation number 2 is required, Kharisma Bersama Nusantara Marketing's average price is used,” he said.

During this time frame, Kharisma Bersama Nusantara Crude Palm Oil has an average price of IDR 14,353.60, while Kharisma Bersama Nusantara Marketing Kernels has an average price of IDR 9,997.00.

“The price increases for kernels and crude palm oil were the primary causes of this week's pricing hike. All parties involved are making a sincere effort to improve price governance, with assistance from the Riau High Prosecutor's Office and the Riau Provincial Government,” he concluded.
