PEKANBARU – A search of the Riau Province Public Works Department of Spatial Planning, Housing, Settlement Areas, and Land (PUPR-PKPP) was found to be relevant to the suspected corruption case in the SKA intersection flyover construction project.

The flyover which is located at the intersection of Jalan Tuanku Tambusai - Soekarno Hatta, Pekanbaru City is a project of the Riau Provincial Government for the 2018 fiscal year.

“Regarding the alleged case concerning the construction of the SKA intersection flyover,” stated Tessa Mahardhika Sugiarto, Spokesperson for the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), on Tuesday (21/1/25).

He claimed that Corruption Eradication Commission inspectors are still investigating charges of irregularities and would identify the parties involved. Then make sure that law enforcement is transparent.

“This case is suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes, as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001, in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Book Criminal Law,” he explained.

As previously reported, on Monday (20/1/2025), the Corruption Eradication Commission Team seized four suitcases after executing a search at Riau Province's Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, Settlement Areas, and Land Office on Jalan SM Amin in Pekanbaru.

Closely track by HalloRiau, the first luggage arrived at around 16.25 WIB, followed by a little suitcase at 16.56 WIB. The last two luggage were carried together as the complete crew exited the PUPR Riau building at roughly 17.00 WIB.

All the suitcases were put into eight operational cars which were on standby in front of the building.

As previously reported, the Corruption Eradication Commission Team performed another search in the Pekanbaru City region, but this time under the Riau Provincial Government.

The anti-corruption team searched the Riau Province Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, Settlement, and Land Areas (PUPRPKPP) Office on Monday (20/1/2024).
