PEKANBARU – Riau Province Plantation Service has announced the price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) for independent partnership oil palm for the period of February 19-25, 2025.

Defris Hatmaja, Head of the Riau Plantation Service, said that the highest price rise was in the 9-year-old age bracket, amounting to IDR 136.09/Kg, or 3.97% more than last week's prices.

“So the purchase price for farmers' fresh fruit bunches for the next one week period will increase to IDR 3,564.90/Kg with a shell price of IDR 31.25/Kg,” stated Defris Hatmaja on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

In this period, the K index used is the K index for the next 1 month for self-help partners which experienced an increase of 0.23% to 92.67 percent.

“Even though the amount of fresh fruit bunch production has decreased, it has no significant effect because depreciation costs have decreased compared to last month because there is not much capital expenditure to replace equipment in factories,” he said.

Furthermore, the selling price of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) turned at IDR 573.47/kg from the previous week, as did the selling price of kernel.

“There are several PKS that do not make sales. Based on Pertanan number 01 of 2018 article 8, the price of crude palm oil and kernel used is the team's average price. If the price of crude palm oil or kernel is subject to validation 2 then the average KPBN price is used,” he said.

The average price of KPBN CPO is IDR 14,767.25/Kg and the price of KPBN Kernel is IDR 11,155.00/Kg.

“This week's price increase was mostly caused by increases in crude palm oil and kernel prices. Improving price setting governance requires a concerted effort from all stakeholders, supported by the Riau Provincial Government and the Riau High Prosecutor's Office,” he said.
