PEKANBARU - The Plantation Office (Disbun) of Riau Province has released the fresh fruit bunch (FFB) price for the independent partnership category in Riau Province for the period of July 2–8, 2025.
Head of Processing and Marketing Division at the Riau Plantation Office, Dr. Defris Hatmaja, said that the highest price drop occurred in the 9-year-old age group, amounting to Rp20.23 per kilogram or 0.63% from last week's price.
“As a result, the FFB purchase price for farmers decreased to Rp3,206.70 per kilogram, with shell price at Rp25.06 per kilogram,” said Dr. Defris Hatmaja on Tuesday (1/7/2025).
In this period, the K index used is for the upcoming one month, which is 92.09%. The CPO selling price this week dropped by Rp139.05/kg compared to last week, and the kernel selling price this week increased by Rp151.04/kg compared to last week.
“Several palm oil mills (PKS) did not make sales. According to the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture number 01 of 2018 article 8, the CPO and kernel prices used are the team average price. If the CPO or kernel price is under validation level 2, then the average KPBN price is used.
“The average KPBN CPO price for this period is Rp13,548.76 per kilogram and the KPBN kernel price is Rp9,985.00 per kilogram,” he said.
This week’s price drop is mainly due to the decline in CPO prices. The improvement in the pricing governance is a serious effort by all stakeholders, supported by the Riau Provincial Government and the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office.
“This shared commitment will ultimately have a positive impact on increasing farmers’ income, which will lead to better community welfare,” he concluded.
